About the Role

As a Customer Support Representative, you’ll be the go-to person for customers calling about their utility services. From billing and payments to starting or stopping service at a new home, you’ll provide clear, compassionate, and helpful answers—making each interaction smooth and stress-free.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Provide exceptional support to residential utility customers
  • Build authentic relationships and help members feel heard and supported
  • Help with billing questions, payments, and account updates
  • Support service requests like starting, stopping, or transferring utility service
  • Educate customers on self-service tools
  • Troubleshoot basic issues and schedule technician visits when needed
  • Follow a set call flow to ensure a consistent, quality experience
  • Close support tickets efficiently and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep accurate records of interactions and issues
  • Maintain a positive and proactive attitude—even on tough days

Qualifications

What You’ll Bring

  • A heart for helping others and a calm, patient approach
  • Great communication skills—you know how to make someone feel heard
  • Comfortable with multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort learning new tools and explaining things clearly
  • At least 6 months of customer service experience (retail, phone, or face-to-face)
  • Typing speed of 25+ WPM
  • A flexible, team-first mindset

Must-Haves

  • 18+ years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Full-time availability (8-hour shifts, 40 hrs/week)
